lunatic fragt... Jaqee

Your music reflects your lifestile as a traveller between different worlds. You don’t seem to want to commit to just one type of music – Soul, Blues, Gospel, Rock and Reggae – you mix them all up and go your own way. How come you don’t stick with a certain style?
:=),,,, Because I would like to develop as a musician, My voice being my instrument, i push it to do everything that I want it to do. That helps me to become a stronger vocalist and more relaxed on stage, I think I am training it for a purpose. When that day & purpose comes, then I am ready. Just like a runner trains hard for the championships..
But to add to your question,,,, I also have always kept my reggae close through all my albums even when I haven´t been active in the front scene, I stayed behind the scenes. I love reggae music and need it to survive. It´s uplifting for me.

Which things inspire you?
For me? Life, Love, Haters, Dissapointments,Friends, everyday people. Yeah Life.

As a globetrotter you are all over the place, have seen half the world, and travelled across Africa and Europe. What brought you to the quaint little town of Lüneburg?
Haha.. One only answer I can come up with is: My love for Music, Reggae and for the people of Luneburg. I wanna meet & chill with them all.

The lunatic Festival is based on the principle of combining eventmanagement and social & enironmental responsibility. What do you think about this concept? How important is the conscious and responsible use of ressources for you?
I´ve always been a conscious person because of my humble origins. I learnt from an early age how to survive with very little. When I was a kid, eating beans was for the poor and non privileged. Ex. Today I love eating beans and being vegetarian & it´s one of the ways i choose to keep a conscious living pattern private.
As an artist, I make sure that my Merchandise is Fair Traded, Ecological & CO2 & Earth Positive. Solar Energy is used in the production process .We all should try to be responsible for our planet in ways that work & are possible for us as individuals, and treat our earth with kindness. If not for us, then for our kids. If we all try together, then it´s not so hard.

Being an initiativ whose members work an a voluntary basis, the lunatic team organizes a music festival made for students by students. We want to have a good time together with all our guests and just enjoy and celebrate great music. How do you feel about that?
OFCOURSE.. :=),,,.We are in this together & we go down together.. More music to the People!! Let´s party..

Vielen Dank an Jaqee!!!
